Our St. Patrick’s Day Literacy & Sensory Scavenger Hunt is designed to take advantage of that natural excitement by turning vocabulary practice into an active, hide-and-seek learning game.
How It Works in the Classroom
Setting up the scavenger hunt takes less than five minutes...
- Hide the Cards: Print and laminate the 12 picture/word cards. Tape them around your classroom at student eye level, hide them inside a sensory bin filled with green rice or gold coins, or post them along a hallway wall.
- Hand Out the Mini Sheets: Give each student a mini recording sheet (printed four to a page to save paper!).
- Search & Record: Students grab a clipboard and pencil, move around the room to spot the hidden cards, and check off or write the matching vocabulary word on their sheet.
